Training For A 5-10km Run

I’ve still been training for my 5–10 km run, mostly on the treadmill in the gym since the weather hasn’t always been great. I’m definitely missing the feeling of running outside—fresh air, changing scenery, and just that sense of movement through the world. Hopefully, when the weather clears up, I’ll be able to get back to that.

In the meantime, I’ve been trying to stay motivated by setting little goals for myself during each session. Some days feel easier than others, but I’ve learned it’s okay to have off days. What matters is showing up. I’ve realized that progress isn’t always about running faster or farther—it’s also about building consistency and finding joy in the routine.

This part of training has helped me understand my own mindset more. It’s been less about physical limits and more about learning how I respond to them.
