Learning To Play a New Piece On The Piano

Learning to play “Tolerate It” by Taylor Swift on the piano brought back a lot of memories. I had been learning piano for about five years, but I stopped taking lessons last year, and since then, I haven’t really played much. Sitting down to try this song again felt a bit unfamiliar at first — my fingers were slower, and I had to remind myself of some basic techniques. Still, I really love this piece, so even though it was a little hard at first, I slowly got back into the rhythm. The song itself is emotional and gentle, and playing it felt like reconnecting with something I had missed. Once I managed to play the full piece without many pauses, it felt really satisfying. This reminded me how much I enjoy playing
music just for myself - not for a concert or test, but because it helps me express how I feel.
