This week, I tried making a new dessert using chickpeas, a banana and cocoa powder. I had seen similar recipes online and was curious about using chickpeas in something sweet. I measured out 240g of chickpeas and blended them with the banana and cocoa until smooth, then baked the mixture.
The result wasn’t exactly what I expected. The texture was a bit dense, and the taste was more earthy than sweet. Still, it was edible, and I was glad to try something different. I learned that chickpeas can work in desserts, but the flavor needs balancing, maybe with more banana or a touch of honey next time.
Even though it wasn’t perfect, it felt good to make something healthy from scratch. It reminded me that experimenting in the kitchen is part of the learning process, and not everything has to turn out perfectly to be worth doing.
