Helping Another Robotics Team With Programming
At one of our robotics events, I helped another team that was having trouble with programming. They were struggling with getting their autonomous code to run properly, and since I’ve spent quite a bit of time programming with my own team, I offered to take a look. We sat down together and went through their code line by line, figuring out what was causing the issue and testing different solutions.
It felt really meaningful to be able to use my knowledge to support another team, especially because I remember how tough it was when I was first learning to code for robotics. We didn’t just fix the problem - they also learned more about how the code works, which I think will help them in the future.
It reminded me that helping others grow strengthens the whole community, and that we all improve more when we share what we’ve learned.
