3D Printing Designed Robot Parts And Testing Them Out

I used SOLIDWORKS to design several parts for our robot, which I then 3D printed and tested. Seeing my digital designs slowly take shape on the printer was really satisfying -it made the whole engineering process feel real. However, it wasn’t always smooth. Some prints failed or didn’t come out as planned, so I had to experiment with the printer settings and sometimes adjust my designs before trying again.

When I tested the parts on the robot, a few didn’t fit perfectly or broke under pressure, which was frustrating at first. But each problem helped me understand more about what makes a design strong and practical. After several rounds of reprinting and redesigning, the parts finally worked the way I wanted.

This experience taught me how important it is to stay patient and open to improvement. It showed me that iteration and testing are key to good design - and that every mistake is an opportunity to learn and make something better.
