Helping my Friend Paint her Bedroom Walls

Last Saturday, I helped my friend repaint her bedroom walls. Her room was originally a dark green color, and together we decided to try a limewash painting method using a lighter shade of green to brighten the space. It was my first time using the limewash technique, so at first I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. We had to mix the paint carefully, apply it in layers, and use specific brush strokes to create the textured look.

Even though it took patience and a steady hand, the result turned out beautifully - the lighter color made the whole room feel more open and calm. I learned that painting can be both creative and meditative, especially when working together with someone. It was rewarding to see the transformation and to know I helped create a space that my friend now loves.
